Teaching Russian is my true calling

I am originally from Kyrgyzstan (post-Soviet Union), where I graduated from Frunze Pedagogical Institute of Russian Language and Literature. I have been teaching Russian to non native speakers since 1993. I had continued my education in teaching Russian as a foreign language at Pushkin Institute of Russian Language (Moscow), which enabled me to teach students from Turkey, China, Cambodia, India, Pakistan, USA, Canada.

I am very passionate about my profession. My favorite part of teaching is seeing students' progress from forming their first simple sentences to carrying on a conversation with me on various topics. While living in Kyrgyzstan, I privately tutored a number of American expats living there and it was so rewarding to see that they were able to go about their daily lives using language skills acquired in our lessons. What is more, I loved how enthusiastic my students became about studying when they themselves observed their successes.

In addition to my professional training as a teacher, I have many years of experience during which I was able to perfect my teaching methods. My goal for my students is to get them to speak. In my lessons, I create a comfortable and encouraging environment in which the students feel at ease to speak, make mistakes and learn from them. I am an extremely patient teacher and I realize that each student is different. Because of this, I adapt my teaching approach to better suit the student's studying style, which ultimately leads to much better results.
