Math and Physics Subject Tutoring:
I have a lot of experience in subject tutoring for high school math, college math (including advanced level courses), and physics. I also have experience in elementary and middle school math. I can help explain concepts, give homework and exam preparation help, and try to provoke deeper understanding. I enjoy subject tutoring at any level: its fun and rewarding!

Test Prep Tutoring:
I've a lot of experience tutoring all subjects of the ACT and SAT. When I tutor the ACT, I generally see score improvements of 3-7 points, but have tutored 10+ point bumps before. It depends on the time commitment and determination of the students, as well as their initial score.

I have experience tutoring the quantitative section of the GRE, and have tutored the LSAT before. I also have experience as a tutor for Illinois state licensure tests for prospective teachers.

Great tutor!

I contacted Spencer to help my 7th grade daughter improve her math grade to increase her chances of getting into a selective enrollment high school. It was our first time using a tutor, but right from the start of the session, my daughter felt as ease. Spencer assisted her with her homework, explained concepts and math "vocabulary", and gave her helpful tips. We plan on having another session soon. I feel good that I picked the right tutor!
