Hi, friend! I'm a performing artist who's been tutoring for 4 years now. I graduated from Bradley University Magna Cum Laude in May of 2016 with a major in Theatre Performance and minors in Music and Creative Writing. I absolutely adore helping people and watching them learn and grow. Hi, friend! I'm a performing artist who's been tutoring for 4 years now. I graduated from Bradley University Magna Cum Laude in May of 2016 with a major in Theatre Performance and minors in Music and Creative Writing. I absolutely adore helping people and watching them learn and grow. I find teaching really rewarding and would love to help you or your student with anything Language Arts related, be it reading, phonics, writing, or spelling! I describe and explain words and how they work in extremely unique, memorable ways. I'm patient and empathetic, and I take the time to make sure someone really understands something before we move on. Most importantly, I believe learning should be FUN! I keep my students engaged through play, song, and laughter!

Ear Training

I took two semesters of ear training as part of my music minor in college. I got an A in both semesters and passed each sight-singing quiz with flying colors. I have an excellent sense of pitch and intervals.
General Music

General Music

I minored in music in college. I've taken a year of theory and a year of ear training. I was in choir for all four years of college as well. I started in music at a very young age. I began playing saxophone at age 10 and have continued to learn and grow in music since then. I'm very competent at both reading and interpreting sheet music.
Public Speaking

I majored in Theatre Performance at Bradley University, with double minors in Music and Creative Writing. Nowadays, I write and perform my own material, typically solo. I'd love to pass on what I know and empower you to put your best foot forward when addressing a crowd!

I've played saxophone for 17 years now, having studied in school for 6.
Sight Singing

I have four years of choir experience and three years of private voice experience. I was hired during my senior year of college to sing in a church choir as an example for the other choir members because I have a strong voice and the ability to lead a section. I have an excellent sense of intervals. I took a year of ear-training/sight-singing in college and passed each sight singing quiz with flying colors.
Swimming

Swimming

I've been a swim coach for children and adults for 2 years now, and I thoroughly enjoy what I do! I can teach all four strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly) as well as basics. I've taught infants, toddlers, elementary school age kiddos, and adult beginners.
