As a deaf person from a hearing family, I was raised in a hearing environment, which naturally made me passionate about teaching sign language to everyone. I started teaching around the age of seven, and I’ve never stopped since.
There is always someone new crossing my path, and I have always been open and encouraging to those interested in learning ASL. Over the years, I have taught and inspired people of all ages and backgrounds to learn sign language.

Great first lesson!
It has been 15 years since I was a student learning ASL. I was completely nervous heading into this lesson, worried that I would be lost. Monica was wonderful! She took her time explaining things to me via sign and the use of the typing tool. She was encouraging, even when I got things wrong, and very patient. I could not have asked for a better way to ease back into learning this language.

My first class I was worried about feeling silly and not signing right. Monica made the class welcoming and enjoyable. And happily made corrections when I wasn't understanding, also had been very patient when I wasn't sure what the answer was.
