Hey, I'm Chris! I'm a former business professional with over four years of experience with fortune 100 companies and Big 4 consulting firms. Hey, I'm Chris! I'm a former business professional with over four years of experience with fortune 100 companies and Big 4 consulting firms. However, I've always had a passion for teaching and advising. In the past, I've worked with Junior Achievement and high school aged kids. While I was at Northwestern, I organized and led a seminar for college students on childhood poverty. I tutored regularly throughout my high-school career with kids aged 8-18.
I'm currently in the process of applying to graduate school and I'm looking to pursue my interests in teaching and tutoring at the same time. As a result, I have a fairly flexible schedule and could work to alter my schedule to accommodate yours. My strongest qualities lie in my abilities to connect with all types of individuals and identify how to make a topic interesting to someone.
I have taken Calculus both in high school and at Northwestern University. I can make the theoretical seem real by applying it to real-life business situations I've dealt with, which ultimately makes the information more engaging. I scored a 30 on the ACT Math section on my first try in high school.
I scored a 35 on the reading section. I understand how crucial general reading is for reading comprehension and will help my student make that connection and identify what material they can use to improve this crucial skill.
Please don't hesitate to reach out! I'd love to help in anyway that I can. I'm fairly flexible with my schedule and am an extremely amiable person. I understand that it can be hard for some to seek help and I keep that in mind in my communication style, the way I present the information, and the way that I carry myself.
