The pursuit of knowledge is every person's responsibility. No matter who you are, or what you intend to do, you owe it to yourself to grow as an individual. My journey in helping others master their academic challenges began when I graduated college and spent a year of service with the AmeriCorps Project YES! program as an aide to both teachers and students at a high school on Chicago's west side. I then spent subsequent years as a Teacher's Assistant in an elementary math class, an ACT tutor, and as a Site Director for the Brain Hurricane tutoring program.
I specialize in English, Language Arts, Reading, Test Preparation, Literature, Studying Skills, and elementary Math. My goal is to encourage students to take on challenges in a manageable fashion so as to not overload them yet ensure their success. I keep my lessons interactive, engaging, and applicable to keep students focused.
