I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and have both an undergraduate and graduate degree in accounting from Loyola University Chicago. I worked as a teaching assistant while finishing grad school and have been tutoring for the last seven years, during which time I have recorded over 800 hours on another tutoring website.

I am also an Adjunct Professor, teaching online for Principles of Financial Accounting at The University of Mount Olive. My other Adjunct Professor position is at Pace University, teaching Forensic Accounting.

I am now currently located in Chicago and work in the loop. Please let me know your desired location and meeting time for during the week. An agreed-upon location at a reasonable time on the weekends would work as well.

My strongest topics include accounting, economics, and business law. I also greatly enjoy helping people complete the CPA exam (all parts: FAR/REG/AUD/BEC). I am up-to-date on the changes that were made to the CPA exam so I can assist with an approach to the new structure.

Other subjects I can help with include writing, English, Spanish (minored at Loyola, lived in Mexico), and proofreading/editing.

I have assisted students from the following schools in NYC: John Jay, Baruch, Columbia, NYU, Monroe, Pace, Hunter, Brooklyn College, Yeshiva, NYIT, City Tech, New York Law School, and Manhattan Marymount.

This is a sample of the courses with which I have assisted people over the last few years: Financial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I and II, Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Managerial Accounting, Individual Tax, Corporate Tax, Auditing I and II, Mergers & Consolidations, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Business Finance, Business Ethics, Business Law I & II, Not-for-profit/Governmental Accounting, State & Local Tax, International Accounting, Entrepreneurial Law, Forensic Accounting I and II.

He's so patient! He knows accounting inside and out

Okay, so I'm used to being really good at tackling difficult courses. Is my ego tied to this fact little bit? Yes. Is it hard for me to ask for help, especially when I'm *completely* lost? Also yes. Accounting is something else, though. I was feeling kind of hopeless about it, tbh. Luckily, I got Chris as my tutor. Not only did he know the topic inside and out, but he was also very relaxed and patient. And, he's methodical in how he teaches, too. Even when I didn't feel patient with myself, he was calm. He put concepts into context, explained what wording indicated which financial statement to go to (& why) and told me which terms were equivalent. His real life examples helped so much, too. I'm seriously so grateful to have been tutored by him. Seriously, get tutored by him if you have the opportunity to do so. He's fantastic.

Totally awesome tutor!

Chris broke down concepts and explained them simply to me. He took time to patiently and knowledgeably answer all of my questions. I think I pretty much summed up how great he his but for some reason I must use at least 160 characters in my review.
