I have always loved to do individualized tutoring in French, whether as part of my Teaching Assistant tutoring duties at NYU, as a tutor at ABC Language Exchange in New York, and with whomever needed help in my various jobs teaching French at colleges. I tailor lessons to the students' needs. I find their level and address their needs from there, but do not hesitate to go further, if appropriate, to help them grow. I reinforce grammar, and can usually sense where errors are coming from, which gives me an even stronger ability to correct them. I go over things until students get them; I reinforce and repeat, and persist in making efforts to help students understand. It's especially rewarding when a student picks up something they didn't know or didn't get; I can often see this in the students' reactions. Most of all, I love helping people in French and giving them individualized attention.
