Hello, my name is Ouida. I am a music educator with a sincere interest in assisting in your musical advancement or the musical advancement of your student. I obtained my bachelors degree in music from Tennessee State University, my masters of music degree from the University of Texas, Austin, and will soon earn my doctoral degree from the same institution. During my undergraduate career I performed in numerous ensembles around the country. I was featured as the euphonium soloist with the TSU wind ensemble on two occasions, performed in the marching band, and the tuba/euphonium ensemble and quartet. During my graduate career I have performed in the UT wind ensemble, wind symphony, tuba/euphonium ensemble and quartet, and the UT trombone choir. As an educator I teach privately and also served as adjunct professor of tuba and euphonium at Texas A&M University at Kingsville. My passion for performance, education, and the musical maturity of others has left me elated to have an opportunity to embark on a musical journey with you.
