Much of my experience came from teachers noticing I was patient with others and had a knack for explaining concepts in the way that worked best for the individual. I grew up in a small town which did not often offer advanced courses and so often I was assigned struggling students in order to keep me busy. I continued to tutor through college and was the official DePaul Economics department tutor while I was a graduate student there. More recently, I worked as a trainer for new analytics employees at CVS Corporate (where I worked) and helped redesign the training program for that team. I tutor whenever I find the time as sharing knowledge is satisfying and keeps the mind moving ever forward.
