I always try to introduce new concepts via examples, and then make some conjectures with the students. Then, I like to get deep in the theory of what we are covering so we can use the new machinery in a precise manner in a variety of problems; I would define my style as from 'rigorous' to 'lots of practice', always keeping an eye on how practical is what we're currently doing in terms of achieving our stated goals.
