I'm Paige! After obtaining my bachelor's degree in molecular biology and biochemistry, I have built 8 years of research experience in microbiology and molecular biology in the context of drinking water testing, wastewater testing and soil microbial dynamics research. Over the years, I have trained countless peers ranging from high school interns to post-doc colleagues. During these training periods, I realized that understanding their learning styles improved comprehension. I aim to tailor my tutoring methods to each student's learning style. Every student brings their own strengths and weaknesses when learning new material. Understanding how their brain processes new information will help me connect them with the material and build their studying skills for any subject they may encounter. I hope to inspire them to see learning as a benefit to their lives and not just a chore.

Working as a microbiologist at the Wisconsin State Lab, I trained incoming staff on new methodologies and taught the underlying mechanisms. I ensured they had a thorough understanding of how the process worked and why we do it. Individuals would come to me first to learning new technologies, troubleshoot problems and gain advice on where to go next in their projects. I take great pride in aiding others with their problems and provide feedback when they don't understand a concept.
