I have a strong educational background in mathematics and teaching, and I enjoy helping students become more confident and comfortable with math. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Computational and Applied Mathematics from DePaul University, where I completed extensive coursework in algebra, calculus, probability, statistics, mathematical modeling, and quantitative problem-solving. I also earned a Master of Science in Nursing, which further strengthened my analytical thinking, communication, patience, and ability to explain detailed concepts clearly. My goal as a tutor is not simply to help students arrive at the correct answer, but to help them understand why a solution works so they can apply the same reasoning independently in the future.

I have experience working with students both individually and in a classroom environment. At Kumon Math and Reading Center, I helped students at different skill levels strengthen their foundational math skills, improve accuracy, and develop confidence in solving problems independently. I also taught high school mathematics at DarusSalam Foundation, where I explained mathematical concepts, worked through problems step by step, answered students' questions, and provided additional guidance when they struggled with challenging material. My tutoring approach is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student's learning style and pace. I break difficult problems into manageable steps, identify areas where a student may be struggling, and use guided practice to reinforce understanding. Whether a student needs help catching up, completing homework, preparing for an exam, or strengthening their overall math skills, I aim to create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and can build the skills and confidence needed to succeed.
