Hi! I’m Megan, a third-year law student at DePaul University College of Law with experience teaching and mentoring both law and undergraduate students. I serve as a Civil Procedure Teaching Assistant, a pre-law mentor to DePaul undergraduates, and an Associate Executive Editor on the DePaul Law Review, where I help train and guide staffers in legal research, writing, and Bluebook citation.

I earned my B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Spanish from the University of Central Florida’s Burnett Honors College, graduating with a 3.84 GPA. I completed an award-winning honors thesis involving extensive research and analytical writing and studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain, where I further developed my Spanish language skills.

I also serve as President of Law Students Supporting Neurodiversity (LSSN). This experience has strengthened my commitment to adapting teaching methods to different learning styles. I welcome neurodivergent students and understand that some students benefit from breaking complex concepts into smaller steps, using multiple methods of explanation, or developing individualized approaches to studying and organization.

My teaching style is patient, collaborative, and adaptable. I use practice problems, outlines, examples, diagrams, repetition, or discussion depending on how a student learns best. My goal is not simply to provide answers, but to help students develop the skills and confidence to work through problems independently.

I tutor law students in 1L subjects, legal research and writing, Bluebook citation, outlining, and exam preparation. I also tutor political science, American government, academic research and writing, pre-law preparation, and beginner/intermediate Spanish, including grammar, vocabulary, conversation, and pronunciation.

My undergraduate honors thesis examined U.S. political party platforms and their responses to racial issues from 1964–2016 and received the Bledsoe-Young Award. I completed and published an undergraduate honors thesis in Political Science through the University of Central Florida’s Burnett Honors College, which received the Bledsoe-Young Award. I have firsthand experience with the full thesis-writing process, including developing a research question, conducting extensive research, organizing sources, building an argument, drafting, revising, and incorporating faculty feedback. I also have additional published academic work through the International Council on Human Rights Peace and Politics (ICHRPP), giving me continued experience with research, drafting, revision, and publication. I am currently an Associate Executive Editor of the DePaul Law Review, where I work extensively with academic research, writing, editing, and citation.
