My academic work has also included deep research into constitutional law, particularly the development of American constitutional principles and their historical context. My primary area of historical concentration is 1865–1960, giving me a particular interest in Reconstruction, the Progressive Era, the World Wars, the Great Depression, the Civil Rights movement, and the political and constitutional developments that shaped modern America.
