Hello! I'm currently a Paralegal at a Property Tax Firm in Chicago. In 2025, I finished my J.D. at UIC Law while maintaining full-time employment. Prior to law school, I worked in media and outreach at the Will County State's Attorney's Office, and worked for the U.S. House for a few years after completing my B.A. in History/Political Science from the University of St. Francis. My academic and professional background has required me to work with a wide range of complex material, communicate information clearly, and learn to perform high-quality/high-volume work. I particularly enjoy helping students work through challenging subjects by breaking complicated concepts into manageable pieces and building their understanding step by step.
My tutoring style is personalized to each student, but lately I've noticed a greater need for slowing down through the material. In today's digital age, we are looking for immediate results. As a father of 2, I've seen how quickly an adolescent will give up a hobby, talent, or study, just because they couldn't master the material after a couple days of trying. We need to walk before we run, and I will slow down to allow the student to self-reflect, ask questions, and identify where they are struggling. My goal isn't simply to give a student the answer, but to help them understand why the answer is correct and develop the confidence to reach it independently. Whether a student needs help with law school subjects, history, political science, writing, or another area within my background, I want to create a patient and supportive environment where progress comes from genuine understanding rather than rushing through the material.
