I hold a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago, where my research focused heavily on data science, machine learning, optimization, statistics, and Python programming. My doctoral work involved developing predictive models, applying machine learning algorithms, analyzing large datasets, and communicating technical results through research papers and presentations. I also have professional experience as a data scientist, working on machine learning, document processing, generative AI, and data analysis projects. This background qualifies me to tutor Python, statistics, data science, machine learning, SQL, and related analytical subjects.
I previously worked as a Graduate Assistant for an Applied Machine Learning course at Eastern University. In this role, I supported adult graduate students completing master’s-level coursework and projects. My responsibilities included grading machine learning assignments, reviewing Python code, explaining modeling concepts, and helping students understand topics such as regression, classification, neural networks, ensemble methods, image processing, and model evaluation. My teaching experience included both classroom-based academic support and individualized assistance with assignments, projects, coding errors, and technical questions.
My tutoring approach is practical, patient, and adapted to each student’s level of experience. I explain difficult concepts using simple examples and then guide students through hands-on exercises so they can apply what they learn independently. I also help students identify errors in their code, understand why a solution works, and develop a structured approach to solving technical problems. My goal is not only to help students complete an assignment, but also to build their confidence and long-term understanding of the subject.
