Hi! I’m Sharon, a current medical student at New York Medical College and a graduate of Harvard College, where I earned my degree in Human Evolutionary Biology on the pre-medical track and graduated cum laude.
I have a passion for teaching and mentoring students of all ages. Before medical school, I spent one year as a middle school science teacher, teaching five classes of 20–30 sixth- and seventh-grade students. In addition, I have over three years of experience providing one-on-one tutoring in math, English, and science for elementary and middle school students, as well as two years of tutoring college students in organic chemistry.
My goal is to make learning engaging, enjoyable, and confidence-building. I tailor every lesson to each student’s individual learning style, pace, and goals, using interactive explanations and age-appropriate strategies to keep students actively involved. I also believe that students learn best by doing, so I always incorporate time for guided practice and independent problem-solving during each session.
Whether your student needs help mastering difficult concepts, improving grades, preparing for exams, or building long-term academic confidence, I am committed to creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment. I value open communication and am happy to collaborate with both students and parents to ensure tutoring sessions are as effective as possible.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a lesson—I look forward to helping your student succeed!
