I am a fourth-year medical student with 6+ years of tutoring and mentoring, helping students succeed from high school through medical school. Since 2019, I have worked as a tutor with a non-profit, where I have taught high school students preparing for the SAT/ACT, AP exams, STEM coursework, and college admissions. I have also mentored students through every stage of the college application process, including personal statements, supplemental essays, and application strategy. Throughout my undergrad at UCLA, I served as a peer tutor for advanced engineering, mathematics, and pre-medical science courses.

I scored above the 95th percentile on the MCAT and am currently a fourth-year medical student. During medical school, I have continued teaching as a peer tutor, helping classmates master foundational coursework, prepare for USMLE Step 1 exam, excel during their clinical rotations, and study for the USMLE Step 2. I have also developed numerous high-yield review sessions, study guides, and practice questions that integrate anatomy, physiology, pathology, and pharmacology into a cohesive framework for long-term retention.

My teaching philosophy is that every student learns differently, so I tailor each session to the individual's goals, strengths, and learning style. Rather than simply reviewing content, I focus on identifying knowledge gaps, strengthening critical thinking, and developing effective test-taking strategies. I frequently use diagrams, active recall, clinical scenarios, and board-style questions to reinforce understanding and help students connect concepts across disciplines. Whether you're preparing for the SAT or ACT, AP exams, challenging college science courses, the MCAT, USMLE Step 1 or Step 2, or seeking guidance on college or medical school applications, my goal is to help you become an independent, confident learner while achieving your academic goals!

Approved Subjects

College Counseling

College Counseling

Since 2019, I have mentored high school and pre-medical students through the college and medical school application process, including personal statements, supplemental essays, activity descriptions, and application strategy. I help students identify meaningful experiences, develop authentic narratives, and communicate their strengths in a clear, compelling way while preserving their unique voice. Rather than rewriting essays for students, I provide detailed feedback on structure, storytelling, clarity, and impact to help them become stronger writers and applicants. My goal is to make the application process less overwhelming while helping each student submit polished, thoughtful, and authentic materials.
MCAT

MCAT

I scored above the 95th percentile on the MCAT and have mentored students preparing for all sections of the exam. My teaching emphasizes conceptual understanding, test-taking strategy, and applying scientific principles to unfamiliar questions rather than memorization. I tailor study plans to each student's strengths and weaknesses while using active recall, practice passages, and question review to build confidence and improve scores.
Personal Statements

Personal Statements

Since 2019, I have helped high school, college, and pre-medical students develop compelling personal statements for college and medical school applications. I work closely with students to identify meaningful experiences, craft authentic narratives, and communicate their unique qualities while preserving their individual voice. My feedback focuses on storytelling, organization, clarity, and impact rather than simply correcting grammar or rewriting essays. My goal is to help students submit polished, memorable personal statements that authentically reflect who they are.
USMLE

USMLE

As a fourth-year medical student, I currently serve as a peer tutor for medical students preparing for pre-clinical coursework, USMLE Step 1, clinical rotations, and USMLE Step 2. I earned a 265+ score on USMLE Step 2 and emphasize conceptual understanding, physiology-based reasoning, and efficient approaches to NBME- and UWorld-style questions rather than rote memorization. My tutoring integrates anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and clinical reasoning to help students connect foundational science with patient care. I tailor each session to the individual student's learning style and goals, helping them build confidence while developing long-term problem-solving skills.
