I am a fourth-year medical student with 6+ years of tutoring and mentoring, helping students succeed from high school through medical school. Since 2019, I have worked as a tutor with a non-profit, where I have taught high school students preparing for the SAT/ACT, AP exams, STEM coursework, and college admissions. I have also mentored students through every stage of the college application process, including personal statements, supplemental essays, and application strategy. Throughout my undergrad at UCLA, I served as a peer tutor for advanced engineering, mathematics, and pre-medical science courses.
I scored above the 95th percentile on the MCAT and am currently a fourth-year medical student. During medical school, I have continued teaching as a peer tutor, helping classmates master foundational coursework, prepare for USMLE Step 1 exam, excel during their clinical rotations, and study for the USMLE Step 2. I have also developed numerous high-yield review sessions, study guides, and practice questions that integrate anatomy, physiology, pathology, and pharmacology into a cohesive framework for long-term retention.
My teaching philosophy is that every student learns differently, so I tailor each session to the individual's goals, strengths, and learning style. Rather than simply reviewing content, I focus on identifying knowledge gaps, strengthening critical thinking, and developing effective test-taking strategies. I frequently use diagrams, active recall, clinical scenarios, and board-style questions to reinforce understanding and help students connect concepts across disciplines. Whether you're preparing for the SAT or ACT, AP exams, challenging college science courses, the MCAT, USMLE Step 1 or Step 2, or seeking guidance on college or medical school applications, my goal is to help you become an independent, confident learner while achieving your academic goals!
