Hello, I'm Kyndall! I am a graduate student pursuing a Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Mental Health. I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology, graduated cum laude with a 3.71 GPA, and earned Dean's List recognition throughout all of my undergraduate years.
My academic background has given me knowledge in subjects such as psychology, sociology, writing, science, history, and social sciences, allowing me to support students in both understanding content and developing their academic skills.
My teaching and tutoring experience comes from both volunteer and professional settings. I served as a volunteer tutor during my undergraduate studies, where I worked with students ranging from elementary school through middle school in a one-on-one setting! As a tutor and mentor, I helped students strengthen their understanding of academic subjects, improve their study habits, complete homework assignments, and build confidence in their abilities.
I have mentored peers throughout my college experience by assisting with research projects, academic writing, and coursework in psychology and sociology.
As a research assistant, I also developed strong skills in critical thinking and data analysis.
My tutoring approach focuses on meeting students where they are and adapting lessons to their individual learning styles. I believe that every student can be very successful when material is presented in a way that makes sense to them! Rather than relying solely on memorization, I encourage students to develop a true understanding of concepts through discussion, realistic examples, and positive reinforcement. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to build their self-confidence and learning skills to further support their success.

I have experience working as a research assistant, writing research papers using analyses of data and evidence collected by my research team. I have received exceptional feedback on my writing and have assisted my peers in writing and rephrasing their original essays. I have also volunteered as an editor for papers written by peers and helped to improve their grades based on my suggestions.
Sociology

Sociology

During my undergraduate career, I double-majored in psychology and sociology and received a bachelor of science degree in both. I have experience in analyzing foundational sociological frameworks, sociological theory, and completing sociological research projects. I was a research assistant for just under two years for the head of the Sociology Department at my university!
