I am currently a Biomedical Engineering student at the University of Michigan, where I have completed advanced coursework in calculus, chemistry, physics, and computer programming. My academic preparation includes AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Physics C, and AP Computer Science A, along with additional college-level engineering and mathematics coursework. Through both my studies and research experience in a university laboratory, I have developed strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of both foundational and advanced quantitative concepts. This background allows me to explain not only how to solve problems, but why the methods work, helping students build real understanding.
My experience with teaching and mentoring has primarily come through one-on-one and small group settings, where I have helped peers and younger students work through challenging STEM material, review concepts, and prepare for exams. I have supported students at the middle school, high school, and early college levels in subjects including algebra, geometry, precalculus, calculus, physics, chemistry, and introductory programming in Python and C++. In these sessions, I focus on breaking problems into clear steps, identifying gaps in understanding, and guiding students through the reasoning process rather than relying on memorization.
I aim to create a patient and structured learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. My approach is tailored to each student’s background and pace, whether they are strengthening foundational skills, improving grades, or preparing for advanced exams. My goal is to help students become more confident and independent in how they approach STEM subjects by making difficult concepts easier to understand and apply.
