I am currently pursuing an M.A. in Secondary Teaching at the American College of Education (expected May 2027) which will lead to an PHD. My extensive teaching experience includes current work as a substitute teacher for District 65 in Evanston/Skokie (2025–present) and previous substitute teaching in District 39 Wilmette (2002–2004), both serving students aged 8 to 18 with a focus on junior high mathematics and sciences. Beyond the classroom, I founded the Chicago Training Center, a nonprofit that delivered free rowing programs to thousands of inner-city teens, combining hands-on instruction with youth development and mentorship. My teaching methods emphasize relationship management, strategic outreach, and creating accessible pathways to achievement, whether in one-on-one coaching, classroom settings, or community-based programs—all reinforced by my long-standing commitment to serving diverse youth populations over the past two decades.
I have appeared on CBS Nightly News, been featured in the NYTimes, has twice been interviewed on iHeartMedia, and was a 2017 Tedx speaker (IE Madrid). I also have an elite sporting background (rowing) culminating in racing (and winning) in the annual Oxford Vs. Cambridge Boatrace.
