I’m a University of Chicago Economics graduate, Kellogg MBA, and former Virginia Tech university instructor with two years of classroom teaching experience. At Virginia Tech, I created and taught Python for Finance and Data Analysis, a university course covering programming, statistics, financial modeling, data analysis, and machine learning. As the course expanded, I also led two additional instructors teaching other sections. Professionally, I’ve applied these skills across finance, data science, analytics, and business strategy, which gives me plenty of real-world examples to draw on when bringing concepts to life.
Teaching is something I genuinely enjoy, especially the moment when a difficult concept starts to click for a student. My approach is patient, encouraging, and tailored to the individual. I start by understanding what a student already knows, where they would like more support, and how they learn best. From there, we work through the material together, focusing on the reasoning behind each concept rather than simply memorizing steps. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and working through problems until they can approach them confidently on their own.
I work with high school, college, and graduate-level students in GRE, GMAT, SAT and ACT Math, AP Statistics, AP Economics, Python, and college-level analytics. For standardized tests, I combine subject knowledge with question recognition, efficient problem-solving methods, pacing, and test strategy. Whether you’re preparing for an important exam, working through a challenging class, or simply looking to strengthen your skills, I’ll meet you where you are and help you make steady progress toward your goals.
