Hi! My name is Geordan H., and I am a recent psychology graduate from the University of Chicago. I am currently a volunteer tutor for high schoolers at Tutoring Chicago, and have supported housing-insecure adolescents in developing their literacy skills. It is my goal to support students through their educational trajectories, guiding them toward higher education and career success.
Throughout my time in undergrad, I wrote extensively across history, sociology, literature, and psychology, earning A/A- averages. That work sharpened my analytical and critical thinking, argument construction, and use of evidence. These are skills I can help you build, without erasing your unique voice, to make your own writing more rigorous and structured, whatever your subject.
I’ve also studied statistics and calculus at the college level, with statistics being where I am strongest and most comfortable teaching. From simple correlations, to linear regression, to hypothesis testing, I can help you master statistics in an uncomplicated way. I am also distinguished in algebra and geometry (including trigonometry).
I would love to work with you! Let’s get in touch and talk about your goals.
