Hello and Hola potential students! I’m a tutor who is honest and engaging, and I understand the struggles of an easily distracted student because I’ve been there myself. My math expertise comes from my economics background, my law experience helps with essays and grammar, and my world experience living in 10 Spanish-speaking countries will lead the way on your language journey.
I’ve been tutoring for over 4 years, including small group classes of 1-5 students on an online platform, and I spent 2017-2020 coaching and running afterschool tutoring sessions for students of all levels. On top of that, I’ve been involved in early childhood day cares my entire life. Between coaching, classroom-style group sessions, and one-on-one tutoring, I’ve worked with everyone from young kids just building study habits to older students prepping for standardized tests.
My teaching style centers on pattern recognition, vocabulary, and intuitive thinking rather than just handing over answers. I break concepts down step-by-step, check for understanding before moving on, and adjust my pace depending on whether a student needs more repetition or is ready to be pushed further. I’m patient with students who are easily distracted or need extra encouragement, but I also know how to challenge advanced students who want to move fast. My advanced students get the best version of me — I make the fast faster and the deep thinkers think deeper.
