Hello! This is Ted. I am a dedicated math educator with a PhD in math and passion for competitive problem-solving. My journey in high-level math began during my high school life in China, where I finished as my provincial #1 and a national-level (CMO, the USAMO-equivalent in China) silver medalist. Such an experience allows me to intimately understand the "pain points" students face at every stage of their competitive careers.

Beyond my academic and competitive credentials, I have a proven track record of mentoring high-achievers. During my doctoral studies, I spent a year tutoring students from elite private schools, specifically preparing them for the AMC and AIME levels. I don't just teach formulas; I leverage my advanced academic training to help the next generation of mathletes build the rigorous foundation necessary for long-term success.

I specialize in advanced competition math. My teaching method prioritizes thinking habits over rote memorization. I believe that true problem-solving ability comes from expanding one's mathematical vision and developing a rigorous mental toolkit. My sessions are designed for students who already possess a solid baseline (AMC 8 level or equivalent) and are eager to dive deeper into complex problems.

Note: My services are highly specialized. I focus on long-term cognitive development and Olympiad mastery. Therefore, I do NOT offer short-term test prep, homework help for outside curriculum, or casual enrichment. The only possible short-term partnership would be a series of topic-focused enhancement course on any of the core pillars of the Math Olympiad (Algebra, Geometry, Number Theory, and Combinatorics).
