About Me
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the College of Charleston, where I graduated cum laude with a 3.9 major GPA, and a Master of Science in Psychiatric Research from King's College London. For my dissertation, I investigated trait dissociation in non-clinical individuals by analyzing neurophysiological differences through EEG data and measures of signal diversity, an experience that deepened my understanding of the biological and psychological foundations of human behavior.
My tutoring experience began as a departmentally appointed tutor in the Psychology Department at the College of Charleston, where I supported PSYC 101 students one-on-one for one year. I bring a genuine passion for the subject to every session, and I believe the best learning happens when complex concepts are made relatable. My approach centers on breaking down difficult material using real-world analogies, working through past exams, reviewing relevant literature, and using practice quizzes to reinforce understanding. Most importantly, I tailor every session to meet each student where they are, taking into account their existing knowledge, learning style, and goals, so that no two sessions look exactly the same.
Whether you're struggling with foundational concepts or looking to deepen your understanding of more advanced topics, I'm here to make psychology accessible, engaging, and meaningful!
