Hi, I'm Seth!
I'm a computational biologist and epidemiologist at Northwestern University, and I'm passionate about helping students at every level truly understand the material, not just memorize it.
My academic background includes a BS in Biology and an MS in Epidemiology, and I scored a 34 on the ACT, placing me in the top 1% of test takers. I bring over two years of hands-on teaching experience, including leading undergraduate biology labs, completing formal coursework in pedagogy, teaching programming workshops, and one-on-one tutoring.
I'm most at home teaching biology, genetics, statistics, and math, and I genuinely love these subjects, which I think comes through in how I teach. I'm patient and concept-focused, and I've developed a strong ability to explain ideas in multiple ways if something doesn't click the first time. Whether you're struggling to keep up or pushing to go deeper, I'll adapt to where you are and what you need.
I work with high school students, undergraduates, graduate students, and adult learners, and I'm available evenings and weekends. I prefer online sessions but am open to in-person depending on location.
If you're looking for a tutor who will take the time to actually understand how you think and learn, let's connect!
