I am an educator and academic coach with a strong background in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, and student development. My work focuses on helping students develop alignment between their intellectual ability and academic performance by teaching explicit learning and metacognitive strategies that are often missing in traditional instruction.
Many of the students I support are capable but struggle to demonstrate their ability academically. I work with students to build executive functioning skills such as organization, time management, task initiation, and self-monitoring, while also strengthening their confidence and independence as learners.
As a current graduate student in Special Education and a former transfer student, I understand the academic and personal challenges that can impact student success at all levels. I bring both professional training and lived experience to my work, allowing me to connect with students in a meaningful and supportive way.
In addition to tutoring, I support students with developing effective study strategies, improving writing and assignment organization, and preparing for academic success in both K–12 and higher education settings.
My goal is not just to help students complete assignments, but to help them understand how they learn so they can become more independent and confident over time.
