Hello! I'm Jack, an experienced teacher and lifelong learner.
I have obtained a bachelors of science in Biology from Loyola University, and since then I have worked in the science and healthcare field. While in the process of my degree, I taught Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) to fellow university students. Although my first start in teaching/tutoring began before that experience, while I was living abroad. I online tutored three students in English, who lived across the word in Poland. That's when I discovered my love of teaching and have tried to incorporate it into my life ever since!
Along with my bachelors and teaching experience, I am in the process of completing my teaching certification (TEFL).
This has really helped me hone in my teaching skills and helped teaching/tutoring become a bigger part of my life!
The way I view teaching is by putting a big focus on what the individual students needs. There is no one size fits all lesson that can apply to every student, so tailoring to the needs of individuals is key.
Being a fellow student myself (Hola to all my fellow Spanish class takers!) I also understand the frustrations that come from the learning process. This helps me show patience to those who need extra guidance and a "think outside of the box" mentality when creating my lessons.
