Hi! I’m a recent graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Chemical Engineering and a 3.88 GPA. My engineering education gave me a strong foundation in mathematics, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and statistics. I also have three years of tutoring experience with Smart Kids Tutor in Gainesville, where I worked with students ranging from kindergarten through high school. During that time, I helped students with homework, test preparation, and building stronger fundamentals in math and other academic subjects.
As a tutor, I focus on making difficult concepts easier to understand rather than simply showing students how to get an answer. I break problems into manageable steps, ask questions to understand where a student is getting stuck, and adjust my explanations based on the student's age and learning style. With younger students, I focus on building strong foundational skills and confidence, while with high school students I can provide more advanced support in subjects such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and SAT Math.
My goal is for students to leave each session feeling more confident and better equipped to solve problems independently. Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for an upcoming test, or strengthening their math skills for a more advanced course, I try to create a patient and supportive environment while still challenging them to improve.
