I am a lead Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin and a Purdue University alumna with both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Currently, I am also pursuing my MBA at Indiana University. My background is rooted in the real-world application of mathematics and physics, which allows me to offer a perspective that goes beyond standard textbook instruction. I do not just teach students how to pass a test; I teach them the specific problem-solving frameworks used by professional engineers to tackle complex challenges.
Since 2020, I have provided private, one-on-one instruction to over 30 students ranging from high school freshmen to university seniors. My experience is evenly split between helping high school students build foundational confidence in Algebra and Geometry, and guiding college students through the rigors of Calculus, Physics, and engineering coursework. Whether I am working with a student who is struggling to understand the basics or a high-achiever looking to master Advanced Placement material, I tailor my sessions to meet their specific immediate and long-term academic goals.
My tutoring philosophy centers on "Discovery Learning" and the elimination of rote memorization. Too often, students struggle because they are trying to memorize formulas without understanding the underlying mechanics. I teach my students to think like engineers, showing them how to deconstruct difficult problems into manageable logical steps. By connecting abstract math concepts to real-world engineering examples, I help students build a professional toolkit that allows them to solve problems independently and approach their STEM coursework with genuine confidence.
