I am an experienced educator with a background in both classroom teaching and educational leadership. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Illinois and a Professional Educator License from the State of Illinois. Over the course of my career, I have taught and supported hundreds of students ranging from middle school through college-aged learners in both classroom and one-on-one settings.
Much of my work has focused on writing, curriculum development, and helping students clarify complex ideas and express them clearly and thoughtfully. I have designed and taught writing workshops, developed academic curricula, and worked closely with students on longer-form written work that requires structure, argumentation, and a strong sense of voice. This background makes me especially well suited to support students with college admissions essays and advanced academic writing.
My tutoring approach is collaborative and structured. Rather than simply editing or correcting student work, I help students think through what they want to say, organize their ideas, and revise effectively. Sessions often include brainstorming, outlining, drafting, and refining written work, with attention to clarity, purpose, and coherence. I aim to help students not only improve a specific piece of writing, but also gain confidence in their ability to communicate through writing more generally.
I have worked with students in middle school, high school, and college, and I enjoy supporting motivated learners who want to strengthen their writing and academic thinking. I offer online tutoring and strive to create a calm, supportive environment where students can engage deeply with their work. I do not offer test preparation or basic homework help, and my services are best suited for students seeking high-level support with writing and essays.
