This experience gave me extensive practice explaining material in multiple ways and adapting my approach to fit each student’s needs.
In addition to my TA work, I have several years of tutoring experience at the high school and college levels in subjects such as biology, chemistry, psychology, statistics, and academic writing. I have also supported students applying to college and medical school by helping them strengthen personal statements, supplemental essays, and application strategies. My one-on-one sessions focus on identifying a student’s learning style, breaking down complex ideas into manageable steps, and building confidence through clear, structured guidance.
My teaching philosophy centers on helping students develop mastery rather than memorization.
