I’m Benjamin! I am a fourth year medical student at Loyola Chicago and previously attended The University of Arizona for undergraduate. I majored in molecular and Cellular Biology with minors in Spanish, biochemistry, and psychology. I began tutoring in undergraduate in Biology, serving as a learning assistant assisting and guiding students in the classroom while holding weekly office hours Outside of the classroom I enjoy sports, fitness, and finding new spots to eat.

My tutoring style centers around what is the best fit for the student! I regularly begin by presenting on the topics the student wants to focus on, with pauses for practice questions and clarification. I really emphasize the importance of how students answer questions and how we can build upon their test taking methods. I also emphasize both study skills and building upon a knowledge base. Overall, my focus is on whatever will make you succeed!

My experiences have mainly focused on college and graduate level students in Biology, SAT, ACT, medical studies, MCAT, or Step 1/2. But, I am happy and have the confidence to teach any grade level. I served as a camp counselor for many years from elementary to high school levels and confidently can manage and work with all grade levels in a fun and engaging yet productive way.
