Hi, I'm Angel. I have a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, and I have recently graduated from the University of Chicago with a Master's degree in Social Science. During my studies, I have tutored and have been an essay specialist to a wide variety of top students to assist them in reaching their goals and improving their skills in a variety of different ways that I tailor to each individual I work with. Helping you reach your goals, hone your skills, and grow your knowledge is something I find fulfilling! In the future, I would like to obtain an English teaching certificate to teach abroad, obtain my PhD, and improve my skills in German.

Before my program at the University of Chicago, I was awarded the UChicago Dean’s Opportunity Scholarship, where I received a fully funded scholarship from the Social Sciences Division of UChicago because of my exceptional application to said scholarship. I have applied and successfully been granted the UChicagoGRAD Advance Award for Professional Development through writing a grant proposal for the UChicago Grad office to fund a self-designed internship program. Additionally, I have written scripts and created PowerPoint presentations for conferences I have presented in, such as the UChicago Interdisciplinary Conference and the Chicago Ethnography Conference. I have over five years of academic writing experience, and have finished my graduate thesis which I received a B+ as my final grade while finishing my program at UChicago. Coupled with this, I have helped individuals apply for a plethora of professional/academic programs such as the Fulbright Fellowship, Princeton in Asia, Critical Language Scholarship, Boren Fellowship, and many more. For myself, I have written two essay-style applications, which allowed me to intern at the Smithsonian twice during my studies.
