I’m a Cornell-educated communication specialist and writer who helps students and professionals gain confidence in how they write, think, and use technology. Before earning my B.S. in Communication, magna cum laude, I spent several years as a professional songwriter—a background that taught me how to make language both precise and expressive.

At Cornell, I served as a teaching assistant for Writing About Communication (Comm 2310), coaching and grading student essays in multiple academic styles. Beyond university, I worked as a transcriptionist and copy editor in marketing, finance, and technology. More recently, I served as an AI team and delivery lead with Meta, overseeing language-specialist teams during the late-stage training of its Llama models.

Now I bring that mix of communication, writing, and AI experience to teaching others how to navigate today’s digital landscape. Whether you’re improving essays, refining grammar and style, learning computer skills, or developing responsible and effective use of AI tools, I’ll meet you where you are and guide you toward your goals. My sessions are easygoing, collaborative, and focused on helping you not only learn the skill, but understand the reasoning behind it.

Essay Writing

I have a BS in communication from Cornell University, where I completed a capstone independent study through the Brooks School of Public Policy (i.e. a 40-page paper on my chosen subject, media effects and impact investment). I also served as a teaching assistant for Comm 2310: Writing About Communication, which focused on teaching sophomore students various essay formats and conventions.
Machine Learning/ AI

Machine Learning/ AI

To begin with, I am deeply interested in AI and once maintained an AI blog (techvista) that reported daily AI news and offered essays on AI topics. In part due to this endeavor, I was hired by Innodata to manage teams of 12-50 working on RLHF training for top-tier large language models. In studying at Cornell university, one of my focuses was in computer-mediated communication, which included AI and foundational concepts.
Music History

Music History

I studied folk and rock music history at Portland Community College. I worked for 10 years as a songwriter in Northern California and Los Angeles, during which I accrued much knowledge on the subject. I also worked as a crew chief at LA's Regent Theater, an important city music venue, which compounded my music history knowledge firsthand.
Neuroscience

Neuroscience

I have been preparing for PhD admissions in neuropsychology. As part of that preparation, I have been studying independently and communicating with notable researchers in the field.

I worked as a songwriter for 10 years. In addition to regular performance, I had a song included in the Grimme-Preis (German Emmy) nominated film Die Stille Danach, and won an honorable mention in American Songwriter magazine's songwriting contest.
