Brinee C.

Hi! I'm Brinee C., a passionate and dedicated tutor from the West Side of Chicago. I bring over six years of experience working with students of all ages, from toddlers to teens, in both classroom and one-on-one settings. I started my college education by studying
Biology at Illinois State University for 2 years but ultimately decided
to switch to Education. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree
in Secondary Education at National Louis University, with
concentrations in English, ELL, Special Education, and History.
One of my core beliefs is:
“Education is not one-size-fits-all; it thrives when we embrace
the diverse strengths, backgrounds, and ways of knowing that
each student brings to the classroom.
”
My teaching and tutoring style is student-centered, supportive, and
culturally responsive. I focus on building strong relationships with
my students by creating a welcoming and inclusive environment
where they feel valued and understood. I encourage collaboration,
critical thinking, and real-world connections to make learning
meaningful. I also adapt my approach based on students’ needs,
incorporating their identities, backgrounds, and experiences into
lessons to keep them engaged. I have several years of experience
working with kids with ADHD and Autism.
When it comes to tutoring, I love creating personalized study guides that students can follow along
with and connect to. These tools help make complex topics more accessible and give students a
sense of ownership over their learning.
Tutoring gives me the chance to empower students, boost their confidence, and celebrate their
