I am a professional artist and educator based in Rogers Park Chicago, with 10 years of experience teaching students of all ages and backgrounds. I specialize in drawing, painting, and natural pigments, blending technical skill-building with creative exploration. My approach integrates nature and sustainability through a culturally relevant and trauma informed context. helping students develop confidence while connecting deeply with their art and environment. I also offer optional lessons in textile and natural dyes (encouraging wearable art), providing students with unique, hands-on experiences that expand their creative practice.

Throughout my career, I have designed and facilitated interdisciplinary, nature-based workshops for youth, adults, and seniors, guiding participants in creating art with natural pigments, botanical dyes, soil-based paints, and other eco-friendly materials. I also have experience preparing students for portfolio development, mentoring young artists, and teaching creative writing and journaling alongside visual art. My teaching emphasizes curiosity, experimentation, process, and mindfulness, allowing students to explore their creativity while gaining practical skills and knowledge in drawing, painting, and mixed media.

I bring extensive teaching experience, including facilitating programs across more than 50 Chicago parks, co-founding youth arts initiatives, coordinating community outreach, and mentoring emerging teaching artists. I strive to create inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environments where students feel encouraged to express themselves, develop technical skills, and explore both traditional and innovative artistic practices.
