Hello! I’m a tutor with a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from the University of Chicago and a BA from Washington University in St. Louis, where I studied math, philosophy, psychology, and physics. I’ve always loved math, science, and reading, and what has made the biggest difference for me over the years was having teachers and mentors who built up not just my skills, but also my confidence. That’s the same kind of support I aim to give my students.

I bring experience teaching at the university level as a TA, along with top performance on standardized tests, including a perfect score on the GRE Quantitative section. Whether I’m helping with algebra, preparing for the ACT or GRE, or working through a challenging science concept, I focus on breaking down problems into clear steps, normalizing mistakes as part of learning, and highlighting progress along the way. My goal is not only to help students master the material, but also to leave them feeling more capable and confident in their abilities.
If you think I might be a good fit, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or to schedule a session—I’d love to help!

We’ll work together to strengthen your math, reading, and writing skills, step by step, and develop strategies for tackling each part of the test. My goal is to make learning clear and manageable, so you not only succeed on the GED but also feel ready for whatever comes next in school, work, or life.
Geometry

Geometry

I earned a math minor at Washington University in St. Louis and a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from the University of Chicago, where geometry and visualization played an important role in modeling complex systems. In tutoring Geometry, I emphasize both logic and visualization, helping students see connections, develop spatial reasoning, and gain confidence as problem solvers.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I earned a math minor at Washington University in St. Louis and a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from the University of Chicago, where algebra, trigonometry, and functions were foundational for advanced coursework and research. In tutoring Precalculus, I focus on clarifying key concepts, connecting ideas across topics, and helping students build both the skills and confidence they need to succeed in calculus and beyond.
SAT Math

SAT Math

I earned a math minor at Washington University in St. Louis and a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from the University of Chicago, where algebra, calculus, statistics, and data analysis were central to my work. I also performed at the top of standardized tests, including a perfect GRE Quant score and recognition as a National Merit Finalist, giving me firsthand experience with high-stakes exams. In tutoring SAT Math, I help students approach each problem strategically, strengthen foundational skills, and build confidence in tackling both standard and challenging questions. I tailor sessions to each student’s strengths and areas for growth, focusing on efficient problem-solving strategies and step-by-step explanations to maximize both understanding and test performance.
SAT Reading

SAT Reading

I help students excel in SAT Reading by building comprehension, critical reasoning, and strategic passage analysis. My background in philosophy, psychology, and scientific research has given me extensive practice reading complex texts and pinpointing key arguments, main ideas, and supporting evidence. In tutoring SAT Reading, I teach students how to actively read, annotate efficiently, and navigate literature, historical, social science, and science passages under timed conditions. I emphasize strategies that make even challenging texts approachable—so students can read carefully, think critically, and answer questions with confidence.
