Hello! My name is Ashley. I’m a predoctoral research fellow at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with the goal of pursuing a PhD in Economics. At Booth, I work on economics research using real-world data and advanced statistical techniques to study industrial organization, public policy, and labor markets.

I graduated with honors from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Economics, where I wrote an empirical thesis in health economics. My academic background gave me a strong foundation in quantitative methods, and my research experience has taught me how to apply these tools to complex, real-world questions.

I tutor economics, statistics, and data analysis using R, Stata, and Python. I especially enjoy helping students build confidence with concepts that may feel intimidating at first, such as interpreting regression output, writing reproducible code, or tackling applied problem sets. My tutoring style is patient, clear, and responsive to your goals. I’ve worked one-on-one with college and graduate students on everything from classwork to research projects and exam prep.

In addition to quantitative tutoring, I also support students in public speaking. I’ve competed at the national level, led workshops on persuasive speaking, and coached peers on presentations, thesis defenses, and interviews. I’m passionate about helping others speak with clarity, poise, and confidence.
