I graduated with my Mathematics, BA and Psychology, BA in 2021. I have taught in middle and high school classrooms, have been an after school program instructor, tutored privately, and have offered tutoring through my school while I was a student. I also spent a year as a tutoring coordinator for my university, overseeing and training about 100 tutors on campus. I was previously certified to teach in Florida, and I have just moved to Illinois, so I am working on my certification here! I am eager to work with students through Wyzant while I work on my certification.
I bring an abundance of patience, care, and knowledge to every session. I particularly love working with students who do not like math. I am here to help you persevere and grow! I am skilled at breaking down concepts to bite-sized pieces and providing ample resources, so you can continue your success during independent studies. In addition to the resources I can bring, I also love creating my own examples or problems on the fly to adapt to your needs. You will always leave my sessions with new material you can go back to reference or work on. I welcome any study material you bring to work on, as well.
My hidden talent is reading and writing math equations upside down, so when we work together in person, I will seldom need to turn the pages my way, haha!
