Hi! I’m Joseph Z, a fourth-year medical student currently completing a radiology research fellowship. I graduated summa cum laude from Concordia University Wisconsin with a degree in Biomedical Sciences, and also completed an advanced biochemistry minor at Marquette University.
I’ve been tutoring for over four years across a wide range of academic levels and subjects. During undergrad, I served as a science teacher and course assistant, which sparked my passion for education. I then worked professionally with Huntington Learning Center and Nurturing Wisdom, where I tutored ACT, SAT, and subject-specific content (especially Math and Science) for high school students.
At the collegiate level, I tutored MCAT prep through Loyola University Chicago, and currently provide USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 tutoring through both Select Med Tutors and Loyola's peer support programs, helping medical students strengthen clinical reasoning and exam strategy.
My teaching approach is highly individualized, combining high-yield content review with practical test-taking techniques. I’ve worked with students one-on-one and in small groups, helping them grow in confidence, skill, and performance. Whether you're aiming to master the ACT, tackle the MCAT, or prepare for your USMLEs, I’m here to help you succeed with clarity and strategy.
