I’m Henry, a physician with a medical diploma (MD) and nearly ten years of experience helping students succeed on medical board exams. I began tutoring in 2015 while still in medical school, and over the years I’ve worked with aspiring physicians and physician assistants ranging from ages 18 to 50. Because all my training and work have centered around patient care and clinical reasoning, focusing on the USMLE and PANCE felt like a natural extension of what I enjoy most; breaking down complex medical ideas in a way that actually makes sense.
I passed all three USMLE exams on my first attempts and completed 36 months of clinical training in the United States. Since then, I’ve taught thousands of high-yield concepts tested on the USMLE and PANCE, and I’m currently preparing for Internal Medicine residency. This keeps my knowledge fresh, practical, and directly tied to real-world medicine.
My teaching style is question-based and case-based, because both exams reward critical thinking over memorization. During your first session, I analyze any past scores or administer a quick diagnostic to establish a clear baseline. From there, I build a personalized study plan tailored to your goals, schedule, and starting point. Every 2–3 weeks, I have students take structured mock exams so we can track their progress and adjust strategy early, long before test day.
Sessions usually last 1–2 hours and focus on active recall, breaking down practice questions, managing timing, and understanding how exam writers think. I adjust my approach for every student, and I work hard to create a supportive, comfortable environment where questions are encouraged and growth is measurable.

Very knowledgeable and understanding

I just had my first lesson with Henry for USMLE Step 2 Prep. He went through several score reports with me and broke down what I should be working on to get the biggest jump in my score within my ideal timeframe. We went through several practice questions as well and he was very knowledgeable and gave good insight as far as how to pick the right answer. He’s very patient and a great communicator. I look forward to working with him again, and would recommend him to my peers as well.
