Ever since I was certified as a math teacher in January 2010 completing a teaching certificate program at University of Wisconsin Parkside in United States, I have been teaching a broad range of math courses at secondary level in various settings and working on math curriculum.
I worked as a curriculum director/online math instructor in Sabio Academy in 2010-2013. This is a private online learning center in Chicago, Illinois that specializes in teaching via the Internet, both traditional math courses, SAT & ACT prep, and competition level Math to middle and high school age students. I was hired at Morgan Park Academy - an independent school in Chicago - in 2013 as an upper school math teacher and math curriculum leader for 7 years. I taught Geometry, Algebra 2, AP Calculus, and AP Stats. In 2020, I started working at Christopher High School in Gilroy Unified School District in California. I am teaching integrating math I, III, Statistics, and AP Stats. I am certified as a secondary math teacher in those three States.
I believe my solid content knowledge is comprehensive to teach any math courses at secondary level including AP course and standardized test prep. Also, I am working as an AP rater at ETS. Working as a curriculum leader/director has broadened and deepened my understanding about the curriculum. I have made my own class notes no matter what course I taught for efficiency. I’d like to support students at any level to help them improve. I retired this summer (2025). I aim to apply my expertise to tailor my teaching to the specific needs of each individual as a tutor.
