I’m a former Peace Corps volunteer and licensed attorney with a background that spans teaching, business, musical performance, and domestic politics. I’ve worked with students of all ages, from elementary-schoolers to adults, and I’ve always found that the most effective teaching begins with understanding. I’m not someone who leans on memorization; I focus on breaking down complex topics, finding the logic underneath, and building the student’s confidence from there.
My experience includes teaching English and life skills abroad, tutoring peers through academic writing and test prep, teaching constitutional law, and working in fast-paced professional environments where clarity and persuasion are critical. I bring that same emphasis on clear thinking and strong communication into my tutoring sessions. I’m especially comfortable with writing, reading comprehension, history, and civics, as well as complicated music theory—but I’m adaptable, and I’m not intimidated by unfamiliar material. I’m here to help students gain not just answers, but real insight. If you want a tutor who’s direct, reliable, and able to connect academic work to real-world thinking, I’m ready to help.
