Majored in History at Ohio State, and currently pursuing a doctorate in History at the University of Illinois. I have extensive experience grading and editing written assignments (essays, papers, etc), and have taught a variety of different subjects, including literature, US History, African American History, European History, French language, and Gender and Women's Studies. As President of the History Honor Society at Ohio State, I tutored recent high school students and undergraduates in effective essay writing, and continue to do so now as a teaching assistant for my university, where I read, edit, and grade hundreds of papers per semester, and work with about 100+ students each year.
Tutoring is not one-size-fits-all, and I believe in approaching students at their level to figure out what their goals are, and how I can help them achieve them. While achieving short term goals is something I am happy to help with, I believe that tutoring can help foster growth and achievements in the long term as well. Working with students one-on-one is a privilege, and I look forward to helping students feel more confident in their skills.
