I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood Education from Chicago State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Sociology from Northern Illinois University. I am currently pursuing my Illinois PEL 04 certification to teach children from birth through 2nd grade. With over 15 years of teaching experience in diverse classroom settings, I have taught PreK through 2nd grade in public, charter, and private schools, often working with class sizes of 25–35 students and collaborating with instructional assistants. My teaching approach centers on developmentally appropriate practices, early literacy foundations, and hands-on math instruction aligned with state standards and the Science of Reading. I have also provided one-on-one and small group tutoring in reading and math, adapting my instruction to meet each child’s needs, including students with IEPs and English language learners. Whether in whole-class settings, one-on-one tutoring, or virtual instruction, I create a warm, structured learning environment that builds confidence and promotes measurable growth.
