Hello, I'm Kathleen. I bring a thoughtful and compassionate approach to teaching, shaped by my educational journey and a genuine commitment to creating supportive learning environments. I hold a Bachelor's in Elementary Education, a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, and I recently completed coursework to become a principal. In addition, I hold teaching licenses in two states. My academic background has given me both subject-matter expertise and a strong foundation in communication and pedagogy.
With experience spanning twenty-six years, I has worked with students across a range of age groups, from three years old to high school seniors. I have provided instruction in both formal classroom settings and more intimate one-on-one or small group sessions, including volunteer roles that reflect my dedication to equitable access to learning.
My teaching style is rooted in connection. I pay close attention to how each student learns best and tailor my approach accordingly, whether that means using inquiry-based learning to spark curiosity or building step-by-step scaffolding to help concepts stick. I see every teaching moment as an opportunity to build trust and empower growth—not just academically, but personally too.
